If you don’t have a truck and you need one you don’t have to suffer you can benefit from a truck rental. A truck rental can help you move, help you get to the place where you go camping, or even help you buy a new piece of furniture and get it from the store to your home. Just because you don’t have a truck doesn’t mean that you can never use one. The thing is, for a lot of us it doesn’t pay to actually own a truck, but every once in awhile you need one. In the cases where you need a truck, a truck rental can really come in handy.
If you are moving you can find a truck rental through your local moving company. You can choose from big moving trucks to your every day pickup truck. These trucks can be rented for just a couple hours or a few days, whatever you need. Often times you can even take this type of truck rental across country and return it to one of the rental agencies at your destination.
If you simply need a truck for a couple days while you move across town or you need to get to your favorite camping place you can rent a car from a regular rental agency. Trucks of all sizes can be rented from these rental agencies for varying fees. These rental trucks often come with a bit more insurance so that you are not liable for damages caused when moving or driving on the rugged terrain. Truck rentals can come in handy for different reasons, but you can always find them in a variety of places for a variety of uses.
I Always Use Truck Rentals: As someone who has moved into a lot of college dorm rooms and apartments, I have experience using truck rentals and truck rental companies. While I have always had people who helped me move, I have never had a vehicle that could carry all of my possessions. Truck rentals are inexpensive, easy to use, and get all of my furniture and boxes from one place to another without a lot of stress.
I have used a wide variety of truck rental companies, both local and national. My favorite truck rental company was U-Haul because they seemed to have the best rates and the widest variety of truck rentals to pick from. However, I have also used local companies that offer unique options like free moving boxes, free use of hand trucks, and unlimited mileage for a decent price. The best recommendation I can make for those who want to rent a truck is to do their research. Many truck rental companies have web sites and also have very helpful customer service representatives that can guide you through the process.
I would also recommend using the car insurance that truck rental companies offer for longer moves. I have moved my possessions from a far away apartment to my new apartment and while I have never gotten into an accident, I can see the value of temporary auto insurance. College students and those moving out on their own for the first time may not have their own car insurance or have an insurance that wouldn’t cover them sufficiently in the case of an accident. |
